Does your child or someone you know fear dogs but likes dogs and wants to interact? Or are you thinking of introducing Unleashing puppy love into your life & feel the tail-wagging joy!

I have a little summerhouse at the bottom of my garden where you can come & relax and in a controlled environment and meet one of my delightful dogs.

The space can fit up to 4 people and is a relaxing setting with calm music, dimmed lighting, and comfy seating.

The session will start with you meeting me and having a drink & snack getting used to the new environment. I will do some dog education suited to your child’s understanding with pictures and books. Depending on what you want from the session I can teach about listening to a dog’s body language, how to greet a dog, and understanding what is needed to care for a dog. I will then let one of my dogs into the garden where you can see the dog playing & then gradually get to meet a dog, getting the chance to stroke the dog, offer treats & give the dog a little groom. There will also be toys available to play with. We can also take a dog out for a walk. I have 3 small dogs all having a beautiful nature and are used to playing with children & adults. One of my dogs is Therapy assessed and volunteers in different areas within the community. My older dog loves to be stoked and get attention; but is not as energetic to play, and I also have a young, tiny puppy who is extremely playful & energetic, I am also training her to become a therapy dog when she’s older. Watching all 3 dogs play together is a beautiful experience!

Evidence demonstrates that spending time cuddling & stroking a dog enhances a person’s mental & emotional wellbeing. It can reduce anxiety, stress & pain, lower blood pressure, reduce cortisol levels (stress hormone), and increase oxytocin (love hormone) plus many more benefits.

You can spend up to 90 minutes with a friend or loved one or as a small family for £15 per adult and £10 per child (under 16 years) & I will provide complimentary refreshments.

It is essential that my dogs are happy at all times, therefore I will ensure that people understand how to respectfully enjoy the dogs and explain dogs’ signals of communication.

At any point if the dogs are unhappy they will be taken out of the session as their happiness is my key concern.

Note: this session is not available to children under 3 years as my puppies must be in a safe environment and handled with care at all times. A responsible adult must accompany all children under 16. Also please note that all animals can bite!
